Magnet Toys For Children

The Australian government recently released the Consumer Protection Bulletin fifth in 2010 to regulate children with magnets.

Mandatory safety standards.

The notice requires that children's toys with magnets should comply with the provisions of section 4.28 of the first part of the AS/NZS ISO 8124:2002 (Second Revision) issued by the Australian Standards Agency from July 1, 2010 onwards.


Challenge:


Acceptance of toys containing loose dangerous magnets or magnetic components, the packaging and use instructions should contain the following or similar declarations:


"Warning! The product contains small magnet" (s). Swallowed magnets can stick


Together across intestines causing serious infections and death. Seek immediate


Medical attention if magnet (s) are swallowed or inhaled. "


Chinese warning: "warning! This product contains small magnets.

The magnets absorbed in the body may adsorb each other in the intestines, causing serious infection or even death.

If swallowing or inhaling magnets, please seek medical attention immediately. "

After normal use and reasonable and foreseeable abusing test, toys can no longer release harmful magnets or magnetic components.


Definition of dangerous magnet:


The magnetic flux coefficient greater than 50kG2mm2, and the magnet with the following size and shape is dangerous magnet.


Cylindrical magnets with a diameter not exceeding 32 mm and a diameter not exceeding 11 mm;


A disc magnet with a diameter not exceeding 26 mm and a thickness not exceeding 5 mm;


Spherical magnets with a diameter not exceeding 22 mm;


The magnet can be completely enclosed in any volume above or completely surrounded by any of the above shapes.
